Set up a custom domain

What a custom domain does

Serve your Wall of Love and your collection forms from your own web address — for example reviews.yourbrand.com — instead of a kudokit.co link. Your wall loads at the domain’s root, and each form at /f/<form>.

Before you start

Use a subdomain such as reviews. or social. — not your bare root domain. DNS does not allow a CNAME on a root/apex domain, so yourbrand.com on its own will not work; reviews.yourbrand.com will.

Step 1 — Add the DNS record

In your domain’s DNS settings, add a CNAME record for your subdomain pointing to:

cname.kudokit.co

Step 2 — Save it in Kudokit

Go to Workspace settings → General → Custom domain, enter your subdomain and press Save. We add it to our host, which issues a TLS certificate automatically once your DNS resolves — usually within a few minutes.

Step 3 — Wait for it to go live

The card shows a status badge. While DNS is still propagating it reads Saved, waiting for DNS; once the certificate is issued it turns green and reads Live. Until it is live, your copy-links keep using your kudokit.co address, so nothing you share is ever broken — they switch to your domain automatically the moment it verifies.

Troubleshooting

If the card shows a verification record (a TXT entry), add that to your DNS as well — it proves you own the domain. If it stays on “waiting for DNS” for more than an hour, double-check the CNAME points exactly to cname.kudokit.co and that you used a subdomain, not the apex.
