Add a popup to your site
A small testimonial that appears while someone browses. Effective, and easy to overdo.
1 MIN READ
A popup shows a single testimonial in the corner of the page while someone is reading. It catches people who would never scroll to a testimonial section.

Create one
- Open Popup under Content Studio.
- Choose which testimonials it draws from — everything approved, or a single tag.
- Set position, timing and how often it reappears.
- Copy the snippet and paste it into your site, the same way as a widget.
Restraint is the whole skill
A popup interrupts. Used once, it is persuasive; used aggressively, it is the reason someone leaves.
- Delay it. Firing instantly interrupts before anyone has read anything.
- Show it once. Re-appearing on every page turns proof into an irritant.
- Make dismissal obvious and permanent. A popup that returns after being closed reads as broken.
- Not on mobile checkout. Anything covering a payment form costs money.
Measure it honestly
Popup views appear in your Analyze report under widget and popup views. Watch engagement rate rather than views — a high view count with near-zero engagement means you are annoying people, not persuading them.
